The Centre for Contemporary Music (Zentrum für Gegenwartsmusik, ZfGM) was founded in 2016 at the Leipzig University of Music and Drama "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" on the initiative of the rectorate and the associated departments. The centre cultivates the performance of new music and organises several events concerning experimental and contemporary music.
