Registration of individual and small group lessons in the elective area

Desired subjects can be applied for via various elective modules.
Below is a brief overview of the possibilities and modalities.

Please note:


Individual and small group courses can only be taken during the standard period of study!


Only half of the credit points to be acquired in the elective area can be acquired via individual or small group lessons (exception: chamber music).

1. Subject-specific elective modules and
    Elective compulsory hours (for teaching profession)

     (see module regulations of the respective degree programme)


e.g. BS 124/125 (Artistic Subsidiary I/II), JP 146 (Subsidiary Piano), AM 128 (Beginners' Course Subsidiary Instrument), GS 227 (Dramatic Teaching) etc.

(Early registration is recommended, as some lecturers

want to arrange an "audition date").

Exceptions apply to modules in which an entrance

examination is required (please inform in the

respective module!).

Duration:

usually 2 semesters

(Only within the standard period of study!)

Requirements:

available capacity as well as completed

Module I for minor subject II

 

2. University-wide elective modules

     (see "Offer university-wide electives ...")

2.1 Elective modules with entrance examination
WKV 131/132 (minor subject I/II) and WKV 251/252 (minor subject I/II)

when: see »Important dates« under "Application"
Duration: 2 semesters each / maximum 2 x 2 semesters
Requirements:

passed entrance examination /

admission to the minor subject

 

 

2.2 Elective modules without entrance examination

WKV 135 (General Musical Practice III),
WKV 139 (Improvisation), WKV 160 (Fundamentals of Subsidiary Subject), WTW 283 (Composition/Setting/Instrumentation) etc.

Registrations for the Foundations Subsidiary Subject

(WKV 160 and WKV 255 are also possible in the first

week of classes).

in the respective module (only within the standard period of

study!)

Elective modules for master class students

There is no separate elective for master class students.
They can choose from the subject-specific or university-wide modules provided for the Bachelor's or Master's degree
subject-specific or university-wide modules provided they have not already taken the desired subject in a previous degree programme.
