Representatives of interests Equal Opportunities and Gender Equality Office

As a rule, the HMT Leipzig Equality Team consists of nine people: at the decentralised level, there are two representatives each for Faculties I and II, and three representatives for Faculty III. The university’s Equality Officer and her deputy work across the university. The HMT’s Equal Opportunities Officer is, by virtue of her office, also the Women’s Officer. She represents the university at local, state and federal levels, collaborates with other German universities and is a member of several committees and working groups.

The Equal Opportunities Officers of the three faculties are elected by their respective members. All members of the faculty, including students, are eligible to stand for election to this role.
