Due to problems with bookings by the Saxony Central Cash Office (incomplete feedback or enrolments), there may be problems activating mobile tickets.
Please first check whether you can book the ticket as described. If this does not work, proceed as follows:
- Issue your valid enrolment certificate for the 2026 summer semester via HMT CAMPUS (if this is not yet possible, please send a payment receipt to the Student Support as proof that the semester fee and any outstanding late fees have been paid in full to the HMT).
- You can have the DST issued via a chip card at the LVB service centres. Instructions on how to do this and which documents you need can be found under ‘How do I retrieve the ticket?’ under ‘Germany semester ticket as a chip card’.
We apologise for any inconvenience.
It can be used in the summer semester from 1 March to 31 August and in the winter semester from 1 September to 28 February.
Your Deutschlandsemesterticket is valid throughout Germany within the area of validity of the Deutschlandticket:
- on all public buses
- on local trains (2nd class) RB/RE/IRE
- on underground and suburban trains (2nd class)
- on trams
The easiest way is to get the Deutschland-Semesterticket as a mobile phone ticket in LeipzigMOVE. Alternatively, a chip card is available from an LVB service centre.
The LVB has created detailed instructions on how to retrieve your ticket.
The DST can be called up in LeipzigMOVE at the earliest 14 days before the start of the semester.
