The Autumn Academy is a project designed by students for students, which takes place annually at the beginning of the winter semester.
The academy is organised by the music education student council. All new HMT students are invited to take part, as well as experienced students and teachers.
Workshops of all kinds are offered in order to learn from each other and gain an insight into areas that are not always included in the curriculum.

Registration is not required.
The Rector of the university will officially open the winter semester 2026/27 in a festive setting and warmly welcome the students of the first semester at HMT Leipzig.
If you have not yet received your student record book for technical enrolment, you can collect it from the Examinations Office, Room 105 (Grassistraße 8), from 5 October 2026. Please arrange a brief appointment with Ms Ruhe or Ms Stötzer to do so.
