Die Gewinner werden in die weltweiten Finalrunden in New York aufgenommen
(inkl. Flugtickets und Unterbringung). Die dort ermittelten Preisträger
erhalten ausgedehnte Konzerttourneen (u.a. New York,
Washington Kennedy Center, Boston) und mehrjährige Künstlervertretung.
Es werden außerdem Preise in Leipzig und New York vergeben.
Preisträgerkonzerte in Leipzig und beim Usedomer Festival.

Young Concert Artists International Auditions, Europäische Runde
Der "Young Concert Artists International Auditions" Wettbewerb ist in seiner Art einmalig. Kriterien sind Begabung, Virtuosität, Individualität, Ausstrahlung und Eignung für eine Konzertkarriere. Teilnehmer werden nicht gegeneinander gewertet, und die Anzahl der "Ersten Preise" ("First Prize") ist nicht begrenzt. Alle Gewinner der Europäischen Runde in Leipzig erhalten EUR 1,000, ein honoriertes Engagement beim Usedomer Festival und werden direkt in die weltweiten Finalrunden in New York aufgenommen. Sie erhalten Flugtickets dorthin, sowie Unterkunft. Die Gewinner des "First Prize" in New York erhalten Konzerte in New York, Washington und Boston; ausgedehnte Tourneen durch die U.S.A. und eine vollständige mehrjährige Künstlervertretung. Mehrere Sonderpreise werden auch zuerkannt.
Young Concert Artists European Auditions in Leipzig
Young Concert Artists is a non-profit organization dedicated to discovering and launching the careers of extraordinary young musicians. Winners of the "Young Concert Artists International Auditions" are selected by a jury of distinguished musicians. The criteria are exceptional talent, virtuosity, artistic individuality, projection as a performer, and promise. The musicians compete against a standard of excellence--not each other. There is no specific limit to the number of First Prizes each year, and the jury has the right to award none if no participants qualify.
First Prize winners of the European Auditions in Leipzig are passed to the final rounds of the International Auditions in New York City and will be provided with a round-trip flight to New York City and private housing to enable them to participate in New York. First Prize Winners in Leipzig also receive EUR 1,000 and a paid performance in the Usedom Festival. First Prize Winners in New York City receive join the roster of Young Concert Artists, and are presented in major debut concerts in New York, Washington, D.C., and Boston. Young Concert Artists provides all management services, including the booking of concert engagements throughout the United States, as well as publicity, promotional materials, and career guidance for three or more years in preparation for commercial management. The value of the First Prize has been estimated at US$ 75,000.
Since l961, Young Concert Artists has started the careers of such internationally renowned artists as Emanuel Ax, Pinchas Zukerman, Murray Perahia, Richard Goode, the Tokyo String Quartet, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Olli Mustonen, the St. Lawrence String Quartet, Alban Gerhardt, and Dawn Upshaw. Winners of the European Auditions in Leipzig, who have won First Prizes in New York include Fazil Say, piano (Turkey), Diana Doherty, oboe (Australia), Anton Barachovsky, violin (Russia), Alexander Mikhailuk, piano (Ukraine), Stefan Loges, voice (BRD), Martin Kasik, piano (Czech Republic), Rafal Kwiatkowski, cello (Poland), Alexander Bouzlov, cello (Russia), Marius Brenciu, tenor (Rumania), Thomas Carroll, cello (Wales), Robert Belinic, guitar (Croatia), Laura Buriana, cello (Rumania), Dora Seres, flute (Hungary, Benjamin Moser (Deutschland), Louis Schwitzgebel-Wang (Schweiz), Caroline Ullrich (Deutschland) and Noé Inui (Japan/Griechenland). These artists have performed through Young Concert Artists in major cities throughout the United States and have regularly appeared as soloists with leading orchestras.
