Thank you for being interested in studying at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig within the ERASMUS - programme.
 
Here, you will find information and documents concerning the application. Please bear in mind that the application within the ERASMUS - programme at our Conservatory is only possible in accordance with the international office of your home institution. You have to submit the application through the international office of your home institution.
 

Who can apply for ERASMUS+?

In general, every student who is still studying at one of our partner institutions can apply for a one or two semester ERAMSUS - programme at the HMT Leipzig.
 

Language skills

Basic knowledge of the German language (A1) is recommended as group lessons are usually held in German. Singers should have at least level B1.
The HMT offers several German courses to exchange students. A good knowledge of English is recommended.

ERASMUS+ application

How to apply?

Deadline for the application is the 31st March (for the following winter and summer semester).
 
Interested students should send the following application items via the International Office of their home institution:
  • AEC Student Application Form
  • AEC Learning Agreement (please get informed about possible courses (course catalogue)
  • Curriculum Vitae (English or German)
  • Motivation letter (English or German)
  • According to the main subject, applicants have to submit:
Orchestra instruments, early music, organ, piano, jazz and singers
Audio recording (CD) of pieces of different styles (about 20 min)
Choir and orchestra conducting
Video recording (DVD) of a performance or rehearsal
Composition
Two or three scores of own works and their recordings on CD (if available)
Dramaturgy
Portfolio
 
IMPORTANT: Online-URLs and other internet sources cannot be considered. Please send in your files on a CD, DVD or USB-flashdrive.
